Sheryl is a Geriatric Social Worker and Dementia Specialist with certification as a Validation Worker through Naomi Feil’s Institute and has her Eden Certification, and well as a National and International Certification as a Dementia Practitioner. Sheryl holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and a B.S. in Sociology from Utah State University where she founded the Student Gerontology Association and received her Gerontology Certificate. The majority of Sheryl’s career has been in working with individuals with dementia and their families. She has experience as a Cognitive Therapy Interventionist, a Skilled Nursing Social Worker, a Case Manager, and a Dementia Community Director. She has been an Alzheimer’s Association Advocate/Ambassador and is currently a Dementia Educator/Trainer and a member of the Alzheimer’s Association Education Committee as well as a member of the State of Utah Alzheimer’s and Related Dementias Coordinating Council.
